I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “I have plenty of in-person friends so why would I need a phone friend?” I’ll tell you why…
A Phone Friend Can be Easier to Talk to
Ever try to tell somebody something face-to-face that is embarrassing or otherwise difficult to share about yourself only to discover at the last minute that you just can’t bring yourself to say it while facing them for fear of rejection or judgment? Having a phone companion makes getting up the courage to share intimate details about yourself much easier when you aren’t looking right at the person, worried about and scrutinizing their reaction.
Hanging out with friends face-to-face requires time and energy to shower and get dressed and possibly even go out of the house (gasp!) but with a
phone friend, you not only don’t have to shower, you don’t even have to put on pants! You don’t have to put your best foot forward, you don’t have to worry about whether or not you remembered to wear deodorant, and most of all, you can visit for as short or as long as you’d like. In fact, you can visit multiple times a day, all from the convenience of your own home (with or without pants!)
A Phone Friend Won’t Judge You!
As a phone companions, a lot of people have shared just about everything you can think of with us from their sadness over losing a pet, to their excitement about a promotion, to dilemmas they are facing, and just about everything in between. We’ve heard just about everything you can think of and not too much shocks or surprises us. A phone companion won’t try to judge you or tell you you are a horrible person for feeling the way you do and you most definitely don’t have to worry about us gossiping about you behind your back the way you might with in-person friends.
Sadly, those we think are our friends sometimes can’t wait to share the latest juicy gossip about you with others who know you and before you know it, everybody knows about those secret thoughts or that embarrassing thing you shared with someone you thought you could trust. This is why having a phone friend you can call and can share these things with is so important; you don’t have to worry about them spreading rumors about you.
Phone Friends are Here for You Day and Night
